Facet — Support
Facet opens 3D and CAD files on iPhone and iPad: STL, STEP/STP, DXF, OBJ, GLB/glTF, 3MF and G-code. It works offline and needs no account.

When you write, please include the iOS or iPadOS version, the device model, the file format and, if a file will not open, what the screen showed. Please do not attach confidential files. If a file is the problem, a small sample that shows it is enough.
Common questions
A file will not open or looks wrong. Check that the extension is one of the formats above. DXF must be the text (ASCII) kind; binary DXF is reported as unsupported and can be saved as ASCII in the program that made it. glTF files with external .bin or texture files need those files next to the model. If STEP, OBJ or 3MF files fail, tell us the program that exported them.
A large model opens as a reduced version. When a model does not fit in your device's memory, Facet opens a simplified version and says so, instead of closing. A device with more memory opens more detail.
What does Pro add? Point-to-point and angle measurement, a section plane, export and conversion to STL, OBJ or GLB, wireframe and normals with mesh analysis, comparison of two models and viewport themes. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Every format and the free features stay free.
Restoring Pro on a new device. Open Settings or the Pro screen and choose Restore purchases. It uses the Apple Account you bought with. Pro also works with Family Sharing when it is enabled in your Apple settings.
Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Previews and thumbnails in Files. Quick Look previews and thumbnails for the supported formats appear in the Files app once Facet is installed.
Privacy. Facet collects no data and opens no network connection of its own. See the Privacy Policy.
Open-source components
Facet includes open-source components, listed with their full licenses in the app under Settings > Third-party licenses. Notably, it uses Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) 7.6.3, unmodified, under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 with the Open CASCADE Exception 1.0. The OCCT source code is published by its authors at https://github.com/Open-Cascade-SAS/OCCT/releases/tag/V7_6_3.
Under section 6 of that license, you may modify Facet for your own use to relink it with a modified version of OCCT, and reverse engineer it for debugging such modifications; nothing in Facet's terms limits those rights. For at least three years after each release, we provide on request, at no charge beyond the cost of sending it, the materials needed to relink that release with a modified OCCT: the app's object files, the unmodified OCCT library it was built with, and the link instructions. Write to support@uranumlabs.com with the version of Facet you have (iPhone or iPad Settings > General > iPhone Storage or iPad Storage > Facet).
Facet is developed and published by Uranum LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Company information.
